Pontes is live. Digital securities now settle in central bank money.
Shares, bonds and fund units are moving onto Europe's licensed digital registers. TokenWay connects the institutions that issue, sell and service them to those registers, through one API. Connect once, and reach the registers we connect without integrating and maintaining each one yourself.
Country by country, Europe has created licensed digital registers by law, then an EU regime above them, and now settlement in central bank money. Shares, bonds and fund units are moving onto these registers, and the entry in the register is the security itself. Every layer is in place. The connections between them are missing.
A digital register entry is the security itself.
Issuing, trading and settlement of digital securities across 27 countries.
The Eurosystem's Pontes settles digital securities in central bank money. Venues that settle through it are on our connection plan.
Why a digital securities industry is forming in Europe, what the law says country by country, what the largest houses have already issued, and why the connections between them are still missing. Written for an institutional reader, with a source for every claim.
Digital securities live on registers and venues, in several countries, each on its own technology, with its own interface and its own message format. We hold the adapters and keep them current. A client integrates once and reaches each connected register in one message format, including registers connected after them. The technical complexity stays with us, so our clients stay on their business. Select your side of the market.
Holds the client relationship and the distribution agreement.
HELD · READ BACK FROM THE REGISTEROne connection, and each product on a connected register is one instruction away.
We come back with what it takes on your side.
Reads the register for the funds it services.
The bank writes the subscription into the fund’s register; you read the same record, under your own credentials.
We come back with what the read-only view shows.
Decides the instrument to bring to market.
ON THE REGISTERYour issue is recorded on a licensed digital register, and the banks, brokers and platforms on the connection sell it to their clients, across markets.
We map the register and the distribution before you decide.
Holds the licence and the record. Keeps its own interface and its own format.
You show us your interface once; the banks on the connection reach you through it.
We come back with the banks and issuers it would reach.
We name a partner once it has agreed to be named.
Regulated activity stays with the licensed party. DLTBridge passes and normalises instructions between licensed parties. The instruction is the licensed party's own, sent under its own credentials, with DLTBridge as its ICT provider. We do not become a party to the transaction, and nothing regulated leaves licensed hands.
In scope as an ICT third party provider: contracts, logging, incident reporting and exit terms. One file, not one per register.
Information security run as a management system, control by control. We are not certified, and we will say so until we are.
Each instruction in and out is logged. Information security is designed with a specialist independent of the build.
Our Integrated Management System Policy is public. The architecture note, the ICT third party file and the full policy set are available on request.
We are ready for testing with institutions. Four steps, one integration on your side.
Thirty minutes. Bring one product that is stuck.
Your systems, your instruments, the registers you need.
The specification for your case.
Your test system on our connection.
No decision needed. We take it from there.
A register kept under national law in which the entry is the security itself. Shares, bonds and fund units can be issued and held there without a paper certificate. Several European countries have created them, each under its own law and each with its own technology. Alongside them, the EU pilot regime licenses trading and settlement venues that keep the same kind of record on distributed ledger technology. We connect to both, and we call them registers and venues.
No. The instruments are ordinary securities: shares, bonds and fund units, issued under national law, with the same rights and obligations as their paper equivalents. What changes is where ownership is recorded. The registers use distributed ledger technology, and German law calls one class of these instruments crypto securities, which is a legal term for a security on such a register and not a crypto asset. Cash settles between the licensed parties as it does today.
Yes, the licensed kind. A share, a bond or a fund unit is issued on a digital register that keeps its record on distributed ledger technology, and the entry in that register is the security itself, under the law of Luxembourg, Germany or the EU pilot regime. There is no paper certificate and no separate record elsewhere; the register is the official one. That is different from a token that only mirrors a security kept somewhere else. DLTBridge connects institutions to those registers. We say digital securities, because that is what they are in law.
It passes and normalises instructions between licensed parties. Your system sends one message format, under your own credentials; we translate it into the format the register uses and return the confirmation. The instruction stays yours. We hold the adapters and keep them current, as your ICT provider. When a register changes, or a new one opens, that is our work: your connection to us does not change, and you reach the new register through the message you already send.
DLTBridge performs no regulated activity of its own. It holds no client money, no client assets and no keys, and it has no relationship with your client. It does sit inside your outsourcing and ICT framework. We will not give an opinion on your own permissions: we bring our written position and the documents your counsel can test it against.
No. The order is placed and confirmed where it is today. What is new is the message that leaves your system and the confirmation that comes back.
That depends on your environment, and we will not put a number on it before we have seen it. What we can say is what the work is: one integration against one specification on your side, and the register adapter on ours. Your engineers get the specification and a test environment first, so they can size it themselves. We then measure it with your people, on a product you already want to launch, and the estimate you both sign is the deliverable. A second register is reached through the message you already send.
Information security follows ISO/IEC 27001 as a management system, control by control, and is designed with a specialist independent of the build. We are not certified, and we will say so until we are. As an ICT third party provider we work to DORA: a contractual annex, a register of information entry, resilience testing and an exit plan. Personal data is handled under the GDPR, the service runs inside the European Union, and we store references rather than raw personal data. Our internal policy set covers information security, access control, change management, secure development, incident response, business continuity and supplier management. Each instruction in and out is logged. The documents are available to your risk team on request.
The first register connections are in build and we are ready for testing with institutions: a first call, a technical assessment, the documentation for your case, then your test system on our test environment. Nothing has been placed through the connection in production yet, and we would rather tell you here than have you find it later. Counterparties are named only with their written consent, and we describe each connection in these words: in build, scoping, in discussion, targeted, planned.
TokenWay is a technology company based in Prague, building DLTBridge for Europe's digital capital markets. It is run by two co-founders with a track record in building technology and in financial law.
Europe's digital capital market is taking shape as many registers and venues rather than one: each licensed under its own law, in its own country, on its own technology, with settlement in central bank money now available above them. That is a strength of the European model, and a cost for anyone who has to reach it, because each register is a separate integration to build and maintain. We think the layer that is missing is the connection between the institutions and the registers, built once and kept current, so that a bank, an issuer or a fund administrator does not build again what its neighbour has already built. That is what we are building, and we build it the way the licensed parties need it built: no client money, no client assets, no keys, and no regulated activity on our side.
